Pueblo traffic matters can involve different courts and agencies. A city ordinance case, a state-court case, and a DMV licensing action are not the same proceeding. This page describes those institutions and the firm’s traffic practice without identifying a response, appearance requirement, or deadline for an individual citation.
Pueblo Combined Court
The Colorado Judicial Branch lists Pueblo Combined Court at the Dennis Maes Judicial Building, 501 N. Elizabeth Street, Pueblo. The Judicial Branch’s official location page publishes contact, building, and court-service information.
Pueblo Municipal Court
Pueblo Municipal Court is a separate city court at 200 S. Main Street, Pueblo. The City describes its jurisdiction over matters arising under the City Charter and ordinances, as well as concurrent jurisdiction over certain offenses. The two Pueblo court locations are not interchangeable.
Different documents and proceedings
Traffic paperwork may describe a summons, municipal citation, or penalty assessment. These terms do not all describe the same process. The issuing authority, alleged provision, and applicable court or agency record distinguish the matter. This website does not decide whether a particular document is payable or whether an appearance is required.
The separate licensing system
A traffic court record and a driver-license record serve different purposes. The Colorado Department of Revenue Hearings Division publishes information about administrative driver-license proceedings. A court matter and a DMV matter may have separate records and decisions.
Traffic representation in Pueblo
Ike Lucero, Jr. considers selected privately retained traffic matters after conflict, availability, and scope review. The Traffic Tickets page describes the practice, with related information on license and DMV matters and commercial-driver matters.
