No Attorney-Client Relationship
Viewing or interacting with this website, reading website information, clicking a link, calling the office, leaving a voicemail, sending an email or text message, requesting an appointment, participating in a preliminary discussion, or submitting a website form does not create an attorney-client relationship with Ike Lucero, Jr. or Ike Lucero, Jr., P.C. Attorney & Counselor at Law and does not make Ike Lucero, Jr. your lawyer. A response from the Law Office, a staff member, or an automated system does not by itself mean that the Law Office has agreed to represent you.
For a privately retained matter, representation begins only after all of the following have occurred:
- The Law Office has completed any necessary conflict and matter review and expressly accepted the matter in writing;
- Both the prospective client and the Law Office have signed a written engagement agreement; and
- The required retainer or other initial fee described in that agreement has been received and accepted by the Law Office.
Paying money, signing a document, attending an appointment, or communicating with the office does not independently create representation unless all required conditions have been satisfied and the Law Office confirms acceptance. Court-appointed work—including Respondent Parent Counsel and Guardian ad Litem appointments—begins only as established by a valid court or agency appointment and applicable law or program rules. The attorney’s role in an appointed matter is defined by that appointment. A Guardian ad Litem represents the child’s best interests, which differs from client-directed representation.
No Duty to Act or Protect Deadlines
Unless and until representation has formally begun, the Law Office has no obligation to investigate a matter, appear for you, contact a court or agency, preserve a claim, file a document, or protect any deadline. You remain responsible for every court date, hearing date, response date, limitation period, appeal period, DMV deadline, and other deadline unless the Law Office expressly confirms in writing that it has accepted responsibility for it.
This website, its forms, voicemail, and email are not continuously monitored and should not be used for emergencies or urgent deadlines.
Confidential and Sensitive Information
Initially provide only the information reasonably necessary for the Law Office to identify the parties, check for conflicts, and decide whether an appointment is appropriate. Do not send confidential, sensitive, privileged, or time-critical information through this website, by unsolicited email, or by voicemail before the Law Office asks for that information and confirms an appropriate way to provide it. Professional duties may apply to some prospective-client communications, but you should not assume that an unsolicited communication creates an attorney-client relationship or is protected by the attorney-client privilege.
No Guarantee of Results
Every legal matter is different. Client reviews, testimonials, past outcomes, examples, educational materials, and discussions of possible legal strategies do not guarantee or predict the outcome of another matter. The Law Office cannot and does not guarantee a particular result.
External Information and Links
Links to courts, government agencies, maps, review platforms, and other third-party websites are provided for convenience. The Law Office does not control those websites and does not guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, or completeness. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.
Requesting an Appointment
You may request an appointment to discuss your individual circumstances. Requesting an appointment or communicating with the office does not create an attorney-client relationship or make the Law Office responsible for a deadline.
